Here I have mixed equal parts of A and B from the previous page. I slowly poured the mixture into the mold.
Here is the ring after it has been removed from the mold. The resin gets VERY hot when it sets, and gets hard enough to work in only a few minutes. I took the ring above out of the mold in less than 5 minutes from the time I poured. In the pic on the right you can see the initial test fit of the ring on the starter housing.
Here is the ring after fitting it a little better. I used a dremel with a small sanding drum to get the final shape and fit.
Looks pretty good to me! I'll update the project when I make more progress on a working piece.
