FL250 Engine Teardown
I believe excessive piston to cylinde clearance is the reason the piston is showing as much wear as it does. This piston is SUPPOSED to have fewer than 20 hours of run time on it.
Burn pattern seen on the under side of the piston crown.
The piston pin pushed out with hand force. No need for a hammer or pin puller, which can both cause damage
No piston prep was done at all. All the sharp edges should be filed to a bevel, which prevents them as acting as scrapers for removing oil from the cylinder wall.
